Hey guys, I just got a new laptop so I decided to install HoI. To my dismay, however, the left and right of the game screen are in blank. However, the game still works normally and none of the game screen is cut off. It is only a bit minimized.

I suppose this is a problem concerning HoI's resolution and my computer's resolution? I have no idea....

Does your laptop have a widescreen? Then you're probably lucky, as that means the screen isn't stretched out.

Yes, the laptop is widescreen. The game is less stretched out than it is on the other computers I play it on. Meh, I guess I'll live....I think the fact that the game screen is properly 'proportioned' is getting to me... :p

Thanks.

On my wide screen laptop, I have the graphic options set to 'maintain aspect ratio' when I play HOI2. This results in the game not being stretched out, and yes you will have black borders on the left and right, but all is proportioned correctly for me.
