Old Friends Trophy Not unlocking (PS5)

Platform: PlayStation 5


Issue: The Old Friends trophy is not unlocking, despite meeting the conditions. Fallen Empires do not send gifts, even when relations are positive.
Details:


• Relations with the Fallen Empire are consistently positive

• The most recent documented case of the trophy unlocking appears to be from November 2024. Since then, no known cases have been reported.


Expected Behavior:

When a player maintains positive relations with a Fallen Empire, they should occasionally receive a gift, triggering the Old Friends trophy.

Actual Behavior:


No gifts are received, and the trophy does not unlock, even after extended playtime.

I have reported this bug on this forum 3-4 months ago, nothing has been done ever since.

Just want to point out that on the popular psnprofiles trophy guides, we can see who were the last that got achievements

For old friends trophy, it never been won since 2024 Nov.

6 months that it is broken.

Please paradox, consider your console fans.

I did see a few posts from a while back. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. I checked psn profiles right after this update and usually check daily to see if anyone has earned it yet. I hope it gets fixed soon!

Adding to this.

I can't get any interaction from the Fallen Empires.

Large Galaxy with 3 FE and most importantly Enigmatic Observers. Mid-game for 100 years
Relations plus120 Patronizing
They are superior most of the time, now Inferior due to Economic Power
I had the Limbo event ready to go, they never asked for the scans.
Fleet size 40k
No Wars active
Also Xenophile
Open Borders
Empire border about 3 stars away

When should they ask for the Limbo scans? I'm wondering if it's best to complete the event and let the Awoken have a planet, tell them to leave, or just keep the event unfinished. (I started a game with all DLC disabled, very long early game. Came in contact with EO, then found Limbo but before I had robots…and they asked for the scans before I had the chance to use them. Gave them a copy, positive relations at plus 370 while maintaining distance….and i’m just letting the game run to see.) (Ran the game about 200 years in early-game with positive relations at about 400 and overwhelming power…nothing)

Does empire border matter, get up close or keep distance? (Having border friction does lower relations a bit)

Does it matter if it's Early, Mid, or Late game? (Early game is best from what I can tell)

Any advice would be appreciated.
