I have a fun scenario idea in mind but I haven't modded since Armageddon.
The scenario I have in mind is nuclear holocaust following a Cuba-crisis-gone-bad, and it would involve assigning new units (ICBM + Nuke) with pre-assigned missions (to save player time and to force AI to comply) according to what each nuclear power decides to nuke (for example, Soviets would have the chance of nuking or not nuking neutral democracies of Europe). The scenario would start in middle of WW3, with Soviets pushing to the Rhine and using tactical nukes to break down stalemate. This would lead to US response (you could start the scenario only as major powers) and eventually evolve into a full scale nuclear conflict (Soviet first strike perhaps). A load of events would take place where player decides what to do - nukes fall and everybody dies. A few days of silence and white peaces are declared among nations. Then nations just start falling apart and succession governments (such as US shadow government although not an actual plan until Reagan's term) would start taking over. The goal is to restore your nation and win WW3! (or WW4, whatever)

EDIT: so, my question.. Is it possible to assign missions directly to event-spawned units?
