Finally bringing Paradox to the 14th Century! Congrats to the 13 surviving dynasties (Berglen, Bjarnehed, Bodlund, Cowhig Croft, Enberg, Groth, Moore, Norberg, Oltner, Salder, Wester, Witzen, Woewodskij). I'll do a small blurb about each tomorrow.

3 June 1290: Affraic 'the Cruel' Wester, Duchess of Albany dies a natural death, her son of another dynasty inherits her land, thus the Westers become landless. (The only death in these 10 years)

Berglen, The Steadfast Duchy: The Berglen dynasty has stayed pretty much the same since the 1200 checkup which is actually an incredible feat of strength. While most of the smaller dynasties began to bend under the power of the Luks dynasty Berglen has remained strong, constantly the Luks tried to take one of their duchies but through the power of Gauronas II (reigned 1240-1257) and Gauronas III 'the Lame' (currently reigning, crowned in 1282) they not only grew their power to control the 2 eastern Irish duchies but are a serious contender to take the southern Irish duchies.

Bjarnehed, The Eternal Eunuch: The Bjarnehed dynasty has been essentially dead since 1181 when the last Bjarnehed besides their castrated founder, Deric Bjarnehed. Despite this they have survived because Deric is currently 257 years old despite the fact that he is not immortal.

Bodlund, The Enemy of Luks: The Bodlund dynasty is the last Paradox duchy in Wales, they have survived only due to their brilliant commanders that spent their time pushing the Luks dynasty out of Wales, due to this they only control Powys now. The Bodlund dynasty reached it's height under Rory III (reigned 1171-1230) and his son, Cynan III (reigned 1206-1238). Each one of them fought against and tried to curb the growing power of the dukes of Lancaster. While they failed to stop the Luks from reaching their current power they did hold them to
Powys in Wales.

Cowhig Croft, The Crusading Dukes: The Cowhig Croft dynasty was doing nothing of note until 1266 when Prusas participated in the Crusader for Valencia and won the County of Infa, however it wasn't until Sergonis took the duchy of Fes in 1280. In 1300 he now controls about 25% of the Maghrebi.

Enberg, A Dying Dynasty: For the Enbergs the last century has been nothing but depression and horror, the dreaded plague destroyed half of their dynasty and Ela Enberg decided to try and fight the cruel lunatic Alvydas which only resulted in the revocation of their only county and leaving them landless, it is unlikely they will ever return to power.

Groth, The Mighty Emperors: The Groth Bloodline has continued to grow reaching a staggering 638 members. Their power was growing until it came to a screeching halt during the plague where 5 emperors died within 6 years. Walther 'the Cleansing Flame' (Reigned 1277-1284) tried to restore the empire only to fail miserably, for the most part the Groth dynasty had become weaker then the Luks. That changed with the crowning of Dumnarth 'the Great' in 1284. He pushed back the Luks and forced 4 Kingdoms and an Empire into his tributary network.

Moore, The Dying Duchy: The Moores under the reign of Oscytel I 'the Old' (r. 1182-1207) and Oscytel II 'the Proud (r. 1207-1245) reached their golden age with their duchy spreading nearly across the entire kingdom of Britanny. This changed when in the early 13th century the Queen of Brittany was subjugated by Kaiser Thomas. When this happened it allowed a king to fight with the Moores easily. From there the Moores lost much of their land. Currently the Moores only own Tregor.

Norberg, The Withering Nobles: The Norbergs came crashing down with a series of affairs in the late 12th century and from there it only got worse. Lleucas descendants tried to restore their idyllic life but Duncan 'the Monk' Bodlund (Son of Cynan III 'the Kind) conquered Angelesey and left them in the dirt. Despite this the Norbergs have attempted to be noble. Not a Norberg has commited adultery or murdered anyone.

Oltner, Dukes of Failed Ambitions: After Cassiene 'Sharp Tongue' secured two counties for the Oltners things were looking up for them. Until his son Gilla-Brigte (r. 1214-1229) ruined everything. Gilla tried to grab the duchy of Galloway only to get soundly defeated and lose everything. By 1250, The Oltners were pushed into Westmeath and have failed to gain any more land.

Salder, The Dukes of the Isles: There really isn't much to say about the Salders. After they got the Duchy of the Isles in 1109 they had a few fights but by 1200 they had completely stopped fighting. They haven't lost or gained much but they have stayed stable, other than the Groths I think they are the most likely to survive.

Wester, The Unnoticeables: The Wester Dynasty had been doing rather well controlling the largest dynasty in Scotland and they had prepared themselves to go in a million directions.... except they didn't. People such as Gillespie II (r. 1200-1251) and James (r. 1251-1270) did truly nothing even when opportunities were laid on their doorstep. The Luks dynasty fighting in Ireland and leaving much of Scotland ripe for the taking? Nah i'd rather just sit and wait. The Westers got rewarded by losing their land in 1290.

Witzen, The Diplomats: The Witzen Dynasty have consistently stayed in their home dynasty. Instead of trying to grow they spend their time mastering speechcraft. From 1197 to 1281 they were held by 2 counts (Sian and Rhicert) both who were Grey Eminences. A quick glance at their dynasty exposes how much they have devoted to speechcraft, dozens of their dynastic members are trained in speechcraft.

Woewodskij, Hanging on by a thread: The Woewodskij have had a rocky century. They bounced between a few counties before finally settling on Domnonea where they would last until 1257. After that they lasted simply by pure luck. Their last member is 62 years old. I am almost certain that they will be the next dynasty to end.
