Recently whenever I try to open any of my owned paradox games (on steam or Microsoft store) it takes excessively long to load only to tell me that it looks like the launcher isn’t responding and forces me to close it. I have tried some of the methods people have talked about but none work or can be completed to the fullest, in fact leaving me to have deleted the folder for eu4 in the documents/paradox interactive folder. From what I’ve learned it’s likely that I installed the official eu4 to vic3 converter (of which I have now unsubscribed from on steam) and that’s what’s causing this problem. So I’m wondering:
1. Can I fix this? (I wouldn’t like to lose over $300 worth of games and dlc)
2. Is there a way to restore some of the game files I have deleted such as uninstalling and reinstalling or downloading them from another source?
3. Can I redownload/resubscribe to the converter mod after this or will it cause the same problem?

Installing any EU4 content or mod cannot have caused this to the launcher, as it is a separate app . Nor could deleting EU4 have fixed it as it resides in a different place.

For the launcher problem Please try this:

- uninstall Paradox Launcher v2 from the Windows "Apps and features" utility, if still present.

Delete the following folders if still present:

- C:/users/{userName}/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/{userName}/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/{userName}/AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

- exit the Steam app entirely
- run steam.exe as the Windows Admin user

- run the game from the PLAY button in Steam

IF that doesn't help, in this folder are some .log files:
C:/users/{userName}/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
Please attach them here.

As far as the games go, if you've uninstalled them in Steam, all you need to do is install them from there again.
