Paradox Launcher unable to install games

So I tried the stand-alone paradox launcher for the first time, but when I try to install something the button is greyed out with the error message "Could not get free disk space for selected path".
The launcher says the game is 13 GB and there are still 328 GB free on the drive I want to install to, so that can't be true.

Anyone knows what the issue is and how to rectify it?

There are very few games still supported under the standalone PDX launcher platform. Most need to be installed and run from Steam now.

Which actual games are you trying to install there?

I tried to take advantage of the free play of Surviving Mars through Paradox Club, which seems to require the standalone launcher.

Ah, yes, it does. I don't know what could be causing that message, from what you say here.

in this folder are some .log files:
C:/users/{userName}/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
Please attach them here.
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here. IF dxdiag.txt fails to attach here, rename it to dxdiag.log , or zip it up.
