I'm having the same crash that magriboy0750 described, ie. at the main menu. This is on Windows 10, on Stellaris version 2.1.3.1, via the Paradox Launcher.

Here are the logs.
If you think this is a Launcher problem then the launcher log would be appreciated, thanks.

You guys already set up a possibility to connect the own Steam account with this website. I wonder if there are any plans to allow to register games, that have already been purchased via Steam, with the Paradox Launcher? I think this would give your launcher a serious boost, because... to be honest... I, for example, am more than interested in using the Paradox launcher instead of Steam, but I am definetly not willing to pay for my (already purchased) games again, just to be able to use the launcher.

Hi Andrew,

Actually, I'm not 100% sure it's related to the Launcher, maybe not directly. But I found a reliable way to make the game crash on startup : the friends list. If I'm logged in, it 100%crashes. If I'm not logged in, everything works fine... until I click on the "Friends" list from the main menu, enter my user/pass, and click "Login"... hard crash to desktop right away. The exception logs pointed to the CPopsSocialInterface class.

I'll send my cpatch log anyway, but if anyone else if having this problem, try launching the game while signed out (and make sure you delete the \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris Plaza\pdx_login.txt file).

Hi, i just bought Steel Division. But how do I download it?
Just paste your Steam Activation code (which we sent to your email, and is in your Paradox Games menu) into the +Add a Game area of the Steam client application, and the game will be available in your Steam Library in that Client to download and install.

You can also do this directly on the Steam website
https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey

This is nothing to do with the topic of this thread, FYI.

The few games that are available on the launcher currently, are also available if you own them on Steam, if you've connected your Steam and Paradox accounts. If you're not seeing them, that's a bug!

Decided to try and redeem my BattleTech backer coupon during the current sale, sadly it doesn't apply correctly and disables the 50% discount. Working as intended or should they stack?

They should stack, I believe. Please place your oder anyway, then lodge a support ticket at paradox.zendesk.com with the order number, discount code and so on, and we'll take care of you.

Probably a stupid question and most likely already answered, but will older games like eu4, ck2, vicky2 etc. be also available on the launcher someday?

A trickier question than it might at first seem. So. Many of our games have dependencies (code and functionality wise) on the Steam distribution channel which means that in order to serve them through the launcher, they'd have to be touched up quite a lot in addition to having two concurrent versions that need to be maintained. This creates a burden for the game teams that they are not, in all instances, prepared to assume.

Naturally, down the line we hope to get our entire backlog available on our own distribution platform, but it's a bit of an involved process and it'll take some time. The distribution team is hard at work with some pieces of enabling tech, so we remain optimistic that you'll see it in a normal lifespan! ;)

Thank you. Looking up to it.

So waiting for much older games from GOG on Paradox Laucher is rather hopeless?

Good afternoon, titles that have a chance to be on paradox launcher are pre-CK2 games like Sengoku or Victoria 2 for example or not?
See posts #157 and #160 in this very thread.

Make sure you are logged into the launcher.

Make sure you run it as the Windows Admin user.

Make sure it is allowed through all firewalls, and that all traffic to and from api.paradoxplaza.com is allowed through.

Make sure it is in the exceptions list/whitelist of your antivirus app.

Well, it looks like running the Paradox Launcher as administrator did the trick for me and Stellaris is being installed.

Thanks a lot for the information, AndrewT ;)
