Any word on when this will hit concoles? All the articles i find just say "soon" but its been nearly a week now.

I just have to say the idea of the tunnels is great. I just recently got the game and while building my first colony i placed two domes right next to each other, airlocks facing each other. One is for residential the other is liesure. To my surprise none of my colonist would ever go to the liesure dome. The reason this was so infuriating is because they litterally had to walk further to get to my metels extractor to work than they would to get to a bar. Seeing as how about 40 percent of my colonist are alcoholics you would think outting on a space suit and walking the 30 feet to get to the other dome to get that sweet sweet booze would be no issue, right? WRONG! The moment i realized that they wouldnt do this i just sat there for a moment, watching as my colonist kill themselves of because the couldnt drink (yet could see the bar from their appartment) and said to myself "fucking idiots" and stopped playing. Probably wont until this update hits

This was no joke my legit same thought. Don’t get me wrong, I see what they was going for don’t mind it but. Just seems like should of had a choice. Mainly since 1) you land rocket the colonist will walk a good distance to get to dome. 2) will go outside dome to work decent distance. 3) already have the air locks they go in and out to move to a new dome. To me makes no since they couldn’t at least go to the dome next door if they needed a drink. Really don’t even need the tunnels when you think about it.

is there any chance of like external housing for the late game, the homeless population just goes crazy from sol 250 there is i went crazy building dome's n houses got it to 20 homeless, ok back to water for a minute, oh wait homeless at 200 again, and is there any chance of like once u depleted all the near surface water, can we have a mission chain to unlock unlimited water wonder, to save me from just spamming water evaporators, just so i can survive my colony and not be a rush into some kind of mars slum, i've never really had the chance to use the really nice houses, oh and the unemployed pop was about 300, i had 30 employment blocked out but couldn't find them, was looking hard for them, might be a bug somewhere, also could we have a way to turn off a storage facility to empty it? the new mega storage is good but its like once build good luck removing it, and deleting 1000 water is upsetting, sorry for the sounding negative i love the game

Just wondering when passages will be fixed? The promise is strong but the implementation sucks. Maybe I'm missing something. Not unexpected with your games ;) Maybe there is a qualifier key I don't know about or maybe some other rules I should be aware of, I dunno.

Every time I try to build a passage it appears to try it's best to go where it can't. Always interfering with pipes or cables or appears to purposefully try to run through other buildings. I rather thought putting them down would be similar to putting down cables and pipes.

Nope, you have to struggle with the game logic. In fact I've had to totally trash complete sections of buildings, not only to have a place to start the passage, but also to ensure the imbecile logic has absolutely nothing to get in the way.

Mostly it would only take one bend in the passage to make it go where I want it but the placement logic is so bizarre. Also, impossible to put down a "ghost" blueprint on the terrain so that you can plan around where the passage goes, so that your don't literally drive your colonists insane by having to trash building after building while you fiddle and experiment with how to place the passage.

Wouldn't it be better done in the same way as tunnels? Just put a start point and then an end point and forget the eye candy and the oh so silly ramps. You could also effectively do away with the moving walkways. Seriously. You make 'em run from the rocket to the hub. You make 'em run out to extractors, you make 'em run all over the damn dome. Do they really need a moving walkway? I enjoy the eye candy but more-so I enjoy game features that work rather than breaking other parts of the game and fighting with me every inch of the way

Ridiculous and not worth the effort. Likely the worst part of the patch. Wish there was a way to disable them or turn them right off, like a mod.

Thanks for listening and my apologies if I sounded harsh.

Why do you have such problems? I found putting down passages quite easy. Leave a slot on the wedge closest to the new dome empty. The passages carry electricity and oxygen/water, so no need for any pipes connecting them. And you can click passages halfway if you want them to have a bend somewhere in the middle.
And if you don't want to use them, just don't. There is nothing added in the game atm that would require you to use passages.

Okay just come back to this game from a break and I can't find the large storage containers to build.

Do they require research or breakthrough to be used?

Not sure if you are aware of this but you can left mouse click at any point and manually place a bend in the passage. This can be done multiple times to negotiate around obstacles as long as the total passage does not exceed the maximum length (default of 20)
