I cannot install the PDX Launcher.
I have removed 3 folders in AppData/... because got error in the launcher "Unable to locate configurartion file"
After that when I was launching a game, installer of launcher was launching.
I got error "Installer does not longer responding" at the start of installing.
I have returned the folders. Nothing changed. The installer of launcher still launch and give me error.
I tried to remove program by control panel. I have got error "Install server not responding". I have removed program by IObit Uninstaller.
I have tried to install launcher again. Nothing changed.
There is error 1603 in logs, but methods of fix from one thread in the forum does not work.
How to fix?

Please try this:

- uninstall Paradox Launcher v2 from the Windows "Apps and features" utility, if still present.

Delete the following folders if still present:

- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

- exit the Steam app entirely
- run steam.exe as the Windows Admin user
- run the game from the PLAY button in Steam
OR
- exit the Epic app entirely
- run EpicGamesLauncher.exe as the Windows Admin user
- run the game from the Epic client

IF that doesn't help, in this folder are some .log files:
C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
Please attach them here.

That can't have been the only log file in there, I think? Can we get them all please.

I'm pretty sure the problem here is your user name in Windows, msiexec or Javascript seem to be having trouble with it:
C:\Users\ÐдминиÑтратор\
Can you make a new Windows user, using only Latin letters, and see if the launcher installs okay under that?

New user without non-latin letters does not helps

The 1603/1605 errors we see there are typically a previous other installation stuck, or a problem in the Windows update/install processes.

If you see msiexec running in Task manager-processes, kill it and try this launcher install again please.

Otherwise run the Update app in Windows, does it load okay, find anything to apply - whether a patch, update, or whole new Windows 10 version? If so do that and reboot, then try this launcher install again please.

If still no good, do you see Paradox Launcher v2 in the Windows Control Panel to uninstall? If so does it uninstall cleanly, or get an error doing that? Use this MS tool to remove that stuck install:

Good luck!

Other programs can be installed correctly

Other programs can be installed correctly
They will not be using the Windows msiexec.exe installation process, but their own one.

PDX Launcher is not present in "Apps and features", I cannot uninstall it. No one method does not help to fix installation of the launcher. There is not other stocked installation in the task manager, name of user is 100% latin, microsoft program does not see PDX Launcher and it thinks there are no problems, I starts steam.exe as admin. May be launcher cannot be installed in Russia?

How can I test .msi installation?
I don't know, I am sorry. You might need Windows support help on that.

I'm sure we'd know well before now if that was the case. But you could test that theory by putting Windows in US English.

The 1603/1605 errors you see in that log are generated by msiexec.exe , not by us. There is clearly a problem in Windows here, the steps above do normally get past that.

If you run the Windows Update app does it find anything to apply? If so please do that and reboot, see if that helps.

did you manage to solve the error?
