How's the performance of the game these days? I remember watching some streams when it was just released and it was horrible. Then a patch fixed it, I think, but then there were complaints once again. I have gtx770 (2gb) and i5 6600k. The processor will probably be fine, but ck3 really stresses mine gpu.

As you said, your processor will probably be fine, but your GPU might be under stress. It meets the recommended specs, though, so you should be fine. I've always been a bit overspecced for this game, so I couldn't say I recall a time when this game ever had poor performance though. It, along with CK3, is generally the smoothest performing games in the PDX library for me.
