Performance issues

Hiya. Was told if you can run CK3 well you can run this, well I run CK3 very, very well but this game is a struggle. Also I have reccomended specs.
Specs are:
gfx - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER
cpu - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core 3.60 GBHZ
RAM - 16GB

DOesn't matter anymore I'm just the NVIDIA geforce now.

I'm having huge performance issues, too, even in low quality for at least after 1850.

It starts ok, but at 1860 struggles to maintain 30 fps, and during wars dips under 20.

Nvidia released a driver that made mention of Victoria 3, it helped for me a bit

Yeah I found using the nvidia geforce now thing makes the game playable. It doesn't run at all well on my machine which is just baffling to me.

Yeah I tried using Geforce Now as I thought that maybe my i7 4790k + GTX980 PC of 7+ years can't keep up very well which is fair but even with Geforce Now I reached the limits of performance in the mid 1870s. I played as Super-Germany formed by Austria with by then 2 Bil GDP and 100 Mil Pops so I think it is pretty easy to take your economic expansion too far for the game to handle. Better to play small nations I guess

Oh dear! So far i've only played small countries.... not looking forward to that level of lag.

It's not only slow to move forward like in Hoi4 late war when there are tons of armies moving around but the UI itself becomes increasingly laggy even while paused. It probably has to do with both the amount of your construction and I read there is some problem with pop fragmentation (not sure what that means...) but the construction sectors are definitly a big source of lag in the game.

I've been having the same issues with a Ryzen 7 3800x, Radeon 5700XT and 32GB ram. After a few decades the FPS drops so much and ticks become so slow it's just not playable.

I've got the same problem. Stuttering and lagging even in the beginning. Seems like the GPU wont get much usage... tested on WIndows 10 and Linux (Kernel 5.15, Mesa 22.2.2) - lowering settings just helps a little bit but still not able to manage a stable(!) 60 FPS right in the beginning of the game:

CPU: AMD 5800X
GPU: AMD 6900 XT
RAM: 32 GB @ 3200MHz
SSD: WD Black SN750 M2

I'm in 1878 with Germany. 16 fps on speed III.
My specs are Video RTX 3070, 16 gb RAM, CPU Ryzen 7 5800H.
It seems unplayable for me, and now I'm trapped with a game purchased with season pass also, and after all that time Steam won't give a refund.

Oh no! Thats dreadful, I agree the performance on this game is atrocious.
