Pilgrimage event makes someone else lose secret

Description​

I got the 'Repentance in X' (Kent in this case) event during my pilgrimage which I assume exists to remove a bad trait from your character. However, the "Here, I am born a new man." option makes someone else lose a secret. Is this working as intended? I feel like the scope of this event is wrong and is trying to remove something that's not supposed to.

Steps to reproduce​

Go on a pilgrimage while knowing a secret
During the Repentance event, select the first option

I can confirm this for 1.10.1 (Quill).

I am supposed to lose "Flagellant" according to the event text, but the corresponding even option will make another character (Getrud von Schwerin) losing her lover secret:

You can also check that I incur the stress for the event option, remain Flagellant and that Getrud will indeed lose the secret after unpausing:
