While your pirate kingdom can get easily destroyed there doesn't seem to be any benefit to forming it aside from the fact that you can have duke level vassals. So what's the point of having a pirate kingdom that will get destroyed relatively quickly if you can just have a large duchy and avoid getting destroyed by random kingdoms?

I thought that you could add an invasion cb that allows you to target the top level title of the person you're attacking (i.e Republic of Tyrosh or the Iron throne) or at least kingdom tier instead of only duchies. This would make the kingdom forming less pointless and potentially very rewarding if you're strong enough to conquer some area.Any thoughts?

it does make being a pirate rather difficult being so weak. your better off just being iron-born.

You need a decent heir, if you're uncapable of getting one it's your fault

I know that but when you form a pirate kingdom other people get an anti-piracy cb.If they win a war they started with this cb your kingdom is gone making the whole kingdom forming rather pointless seeing as how it doesn't benefit you in any significant way.I wasn't talking about the heir thing at all where did you get that from?

You can easily win that war, use your ships and your low supply limit on your isles.

Let them die on attrition and finish off what is remaining.

Not if they don't land, in feast of crows I was at war with Dorne for 10 years ,they never landed but I didn't have a big enough forces to take them on in Dorne

You seem to miss my point. I know how to defeat them I just don't see why I should bother forming the kingdoms since it doesn't give me any significant advantages. That's why I suggested giving some form of improved pirate conquest CB or really any tangible benefit whatsoever to having these kingdoms.

The 'significant advantage' you get is that you can now put Duke-level characters in power under you, which is very nice. :D

It is somewhat easier to manage 3 dukes in the stepstones than 6 or 7 counts but it's not exactly worth it in my opinion.Especially if your defeat makes all those nice pirate dukes independent again.I'd still suggest giving pirate kingdoms a kingdom tier invasion cb instead of the usual duke tier that you always have.Or maybe even allow for a once-in-a-lifetime planned invasion like the norse have in vanilla ck2 if you have a pirate kingdom. One can dream... :D

By nature pirates aren't interested in invading territories in order to conquer them, so that doesn't really make sense. Perhaps something like an Extortion CB might make more sense, in which you receive an exorbitant amount of money as payment for you to go away.

The really boring part with the pirates is that there isn't much point in being them other than raiding. Maybe there ought to be an option to create an actual Kingdom/Republic of the Stepstones if you've stolen enough money pirating.
