Please help this newbie

Hello all,

I have been playing the game for years single player and never MP. I just recently was relieved and suprised to find out that there is still infact a community for this game. I am updated to the current version of the game 1.09 and I would like to try some online games now. I seem to be having some sort of problem now though.

I encouraged a friend of mine to pick up a copy rescued from a bargain bin somwhere and tried to setup a MP game over the internet. both of us tried to host and we were both told that no game could be found at the given IP, but both IPs are correct. I tried opening up my firewall and it still didn't work.

I also tried to use valkyrienet and it doesn't seem to work. I would greatly apprecciate some help if anyone has any ideas.

Hey Welcome to MPing

There is one bug out there that makes you have to clear all the spaces behind the ip address you entered to connect to a game.

No idea why it's there but I was having the same problem you were having and hitting the delete button after I entered the ip helped out. So there is one suggestion to try ..... bon chance!
