I love the new DLC but one of the most frustrating things is the fact that you have too little prestige and every subjugation war and request costs you 75 of it as is upgrading your capital buildings.

I always end up with a couple hundred prestige despite having 30 - 40 income per month ( of prestige) from my vassals. Did any of you find a reliable way to acquire it? I want to designate an heir that's better than my oldest son but I don't have 1000 or time to wait before I die.

Did they get rid of the usual sources?

Even setting aside activities, alliances have always been a prestige-printer. In wars you start, you get fame. In wars you help someone else, you get prestige. Figure out who is likely to be attacked a lot, get an alliance, and then kill the attacking coalition can get tons of XP. This is especially easy when holy wars are involved, since any holy war against your faith is an excuse to jump in.

At least, in general tribal / feudal zones. Maybe something is different with the Nomads- I can't play in earnest for a few more weeks.

IDK what you guys are seeing with the Nerge hunts, but every time I do them I end up losing more prestige than I gain due to the "you let an animal go free" pop-up that happens at least 2-3 times during each one, which takes away 35 prestige every time it hits.

I tried it and it actually helps a lot, I haven't tried falconry yet but regular hunts and feasts gave me almost 5000 prestige. I'll try falconry as well to see if there's a difference.

Upsides of falconry:
  1. gives way more prestige then regular hunts, like double or triple
  2. non-martial gender can participate
  3. low risk of death or injury
Downsides of falconry:
  1. typically costs a lot more than regular hunts
  2. artifacts gained are much worse than regular hunts
  3. can't hunt legendary beasts
However the cost issue isn't a big deal for nomads, since most of the cost is in herd and it's not that big a herd cost.
