Hi all, just wondering, is there going to be another patch?

Also, can someone please tell me what the deal is with colonization in the GC regarding some provinces which for some reason will only let the player create trading posts? I thought that ALL neutral provinces are supposed to be able to be colonized of one wants to do so, so then what could be causing this prob in my game??? I have more than enough funds to cover th cost opf colonizing it btw. The example from my game is with a province near Persia, the one to the right of Turkmenistan. I swore I remembered an earlier save in which I was able to send a colonist there if I chose to do so; it gave me the option to do so. Now for some reason it will only let me set up a trading post, and going back to the other saves doesn't make a difference now. So now I'm wondering if this is going to be the case with any other inland provinces. I'll have the whole of the Siberian corridor in front of me soon, and I'm wondering if perhaps I'll have the same troubles there. I remember when I was playing the tutorial as Eire, that the game then too wouldn't let me set up a colony(only a trading post) in England, in the Midland province(the only province in England that is landlocked). At the time I thought it weas very odd and that it must be something to do with the way the tutorial was set up. But now, for the first time in the GC, it has happened with a rather potentially productive province. When I started playing the GC and noticed that the colonization restrictions for inland provs were gone, I was overjoyed, now I don't know what to think. Any help'd be appreciated.

In general, an inland province not adjacent to a city cannot be colonized (only trading posts allowed). The exception seems to be Siberia, where an inland province next to a colony or city can have a colony established. Your example of the Midlands is a good case in point (eventually, when Lincoln has a city (or one of the other adjacent provinces does), you can establish a colony there).

Thanks!

Thanks a lot cwatcher1. I was going to delete all of the above post except for maybe the question about the patch, since someone else told me the same thing shortly after posting that msg. I wasn't sure what to think since, playing as Russia in the GC, there weren't any kinds of restrictions that I saw until getting access to the lands soutsoide of Siberia(as u mentioned), in this case lands south of there. Thanks a hell of a lot for ur response Really appreciate it. So then with time and a little luck I'll finally be able to colonize that prov(well, maybe a LOT of luck since there's 15,000 natives there<g>, it's one of the reasons I wanted to colonize and turn it into a city ASAP)...
