Problem starting the game (Help, pretty pretty please)

I have a technical problem that I need your help with please.

Game Version & Patch: I have HoI2 with patches 1.3a, 1.3b and the USSR.txt fix installed

OS & build/SP: Vista Home Premium, 6.0 build 6001

Computer, CPU & speed: Intel(R) Core(TM)3 CPU 6320 @ 1.86GHz (CPUs), ~1.9GHz

RAM: 2Gb

Free HDD space: HDD?

Video (brand, model, driver, memory): No video stuff here (in dxdiag)

Sound (brand, model, driver): Realtek? Nothing to do with my issue

DirectX Version: DirectX 10

Other: The fact that I have Vista doesn't change anything. All the games meant for XP run perfectly fine on Vista too.

I read the stickies but I still have the following problem: I start the game, skip through the starting videos, the bar loads up and I click for Tutorials. I click on one and the game stops working, a small screen comes up telling me that.

Rename your avi folder to avi.old.

If that dosen't help, please run dxdiag.

I actially got my answer already, I use the ghetto method, open one of the music files and the "country" file
It actually works!

Edit: Your way worked too, thanks, now I dont have to open those files
