I was playing as one of the basilisk isles and I took some land in the Rhoyne and culture converted to Rhoynar then I changed the succesion to cognatic. Here is where it gets tricky, I had a duchy, three counties and a valyrian sword. I gave a county to my daughter so she would inherit and because she had a very high martial. When I died the duchy and my capital went to a random dude, my daughter kept her county and got the valyrian steel sword and I became my oldest son who took my other county(which was a ruin).
