AFAIK, only 800x600 is supported; other resolutions are used "on your own risk", so to speak.

No, the game is set to run and be supported at the next higher regular resolution, 1024 x 780.

Beyond that, you are on your own. :)

And what about 1280x1024? ;)

CTD when quitting game can happen but this is not tied to resolution.

If it works in 800x600, are you sure you have load_1024.bmp and load_1280.bmp files in gfx folder of EU2 install?

Does your screen support 1024x768 and/or 1280x1024 resolutions?

i have those files.

PS: before this it worked perfectly (on all rez)

Try uninstalling EU2 and reinstall it. Delete EU2 folder if present before installing and don't forget to make a backup of savefiles and config.eu first if necessary.

i reinstalled eu2 many times. i realy dont know what to do..

With complete removal of EU2 folder?

In this case, it could be because of updated videocard drivers or something else in Windows. Better go to General EU2 Tech Support sub-forum.

Run DXDIAG, Save All Info, and post dxdiag.txt here down to include the Sound Devices section only.

DxDiag is the utility to check DirectX. Version or problems in DirectX could explain CTDs in EU2.
Just run DXDiag from Run... in Start menu of Windows.

Happy for you but still strange.
