Problems w/ 1.2 arm

I have done every thing that I am supposed to do that I have read.

I have mannually uninstalled Doomsday according to the sticky.
I then reinstalled dd without patches. (it worked fine.)
I then installed Arm 1.0 patch via gg to the dd folder (default folder) [I tried to bring up arm 1.0 but it froze at globals. went to task mgr and then got an error message that read "couldn't open file: db\units\brigades\naval_asw.txt]
went ahead and installed Arm 1.2 to the dd folder (default folder) [was able to get to select scenerio and country but then it crashed to desktop when it got to globals]

This is the same problem that Paul had http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=364546

Don't know if he every fixed his problem.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Help me with this problem. I am starting to have withdrawal symptons because I haven't played for 2 days.

Did you purchase the Armageddon expansion at GamersGate?

You mention putting the 1.0 patch in your Doomsday folder but don't mention installing the actual Armageddon game.

I may not have installed the actual game now that you have said this. However at gg they say to buy Arm for 4.99 but only provide patches 1.0a (just noticed that there was an "a" on that patch) 1.1 and 1.2. If this is not the actual game how would I go about getting it and did I just pay for the patches? If you know the answer to these questions.

But I do thank you for your reply to the initial problem and I will keep looking into this.

You have to download and install Arma after you purchase it. The GamersGate downloader is pretty easy to use, one click to download, one click to install.

If I only took the time to read and paid attention to instructions (I believe thats what they teach in school) I would have saved both you and I alot of time.

Thankyou for pointing out the error of my ways. I have installed the game and patches and everything is working fine.
