I don't think it would be exaggerated. Keep in mind armies enjoy bonuses to supply limits on top of that base value, when marching through "friendly" provinces. So the lords of Dorne could march armies of 10-12k through those provinces without hassle.

Dorne definitely needs to be a harsh place for invaders.

Oh, I thought he meant that only one thousand people can be at one province without attrition.

If it's 10-12k then it would surely work.

I was thinking that this should be implemented too. It's crazily easy to defeat the Dornish, there easily the weakest Kingdom by men, but in canon they were not once ever invaded while being ruled by the Martells, not once. Hell Rhaenys and Meraxes were killed while trying to invade Dorne.

Exactly. And then, Aegon wanted to reject the offer of peace, but got a mysterious letter from prince Nymor and he finally accepted the peace. Also, Dorne was always revolting when Aegon left.

The problem wasn't the conquest itself, but how to hold onto Dorne. Because Aegon, and later Daeron, did conquer it... for a time.

That's a good point. Perhaps there should be a thing when they revolt that gives them +x% of levies? As well as the heightened attrition in the Prince's Pass and Boneway.

I decided to leave Westeros alone and I conquered the free cities purely through dragons, they all surrendered...i both appreciate this, but also feel like there needs to be some mechanics to make it more interesting/challenging.

Yup. That's what I've been experiencing, too, even though I first conquered Westeros.

Everyone in titular New Valyria surrenders...

And you can get the dragon CB everywhere, is it the Dothraki or the Summer Islands... they just don't have to be too far away. The WC would be so easy...
