Whilst gamespeed has been improved, I am still experiencing crashes on console following the recent update with friends and foes.
Crashes seemingly occur at random and not whilst trying to perform any specifc action in game, nor when saving. I am actually able to access my saves upon restart without issue, but the problem reoccurs after roughly 1-2 hours of gameplay.
I have all currently available dlc.

I have attempted to troubleshoot this and have tried the following:
1. Turned off autosave and saved manually instead
2. Uninstalled and deleted all saves
3. Remapped my secondary SSD and moved the game files to primary console storage.

Does anyone have advice on what to try next? It seems that other console users have not reported this issue on the forum yet.

I am in much the same condition. All dlc except friends and foes, tried reinstall, database restore, move to main console storage with no luck. Consistently crashes after less than an hour of play, about half the time or less than I could run the game before the update.

Does your whole system crash or just the game?

I found that my console was most likely crashing due to overheating. My whole system would turn off and would need to repair storage/restart. It had only ever happened with CK3 though. I'm not very knowledgable about this, so asked a friend of mine.
He said that CK3 is known to have a big draw from the CPU during gameplay. If there was anything preventing efficient cooling, like dust, then the console would overheat and crash.

I decided to take the console apart and give it a deep clean. There was a lot of dust build up in areas I couldn't reach from just removing the covers and fan, especially around the heat sink, motherboard, and power supply. It took me a couple hours to clean it thoroughly with a microfibre cloth and canned air, but I haven't had a crash since. I kept the game running for 4 hours last night without any issues, which is the longest I could run CK3 without experiencing a crash since early last year.

If you haven't done this in a while (or never done it before), might be worth a try. Just note that it will void any warranty you might have if you go nuts like me and want to clean the entire thing, since you need to completely open it up.
The clean cost me under £20 to do myself with stuff I got from amazon. There are plenty of guides on youtube for it, but you can always pay a bit more for someone else to do it for you.
