Unlike EU III, I`m quite a noob when it comes to CK: DV, I only played it on my brother's computer for a few times. But I have a question or two.

I managed to conquer Jerusalem, and have a few nearby sheiks accept me as their liege. What I want to know is, is it possible to create some kind of Crusader State / Templar / Kingdom of Jerusalem, and what are the requierments for it. Also if it's a Kingdom, will it accept me as a Liege (if I am a King / Duke ) or it will be independent. In one of my games I got event to create Teutonic Order, can I do the same with Templars / Hospitalers ? What are the requierments for it.

Another question is, my vassals in the east are muslim. Is there any way / event to make them Catholic ? I don't need any badboy, so I will not revoke titles or do some annexation, but I would like to create a Crusader State with vassals that will be catholic. Alternatevly, can i create such a state, and keep directc control of Jerusalem ?

Thank you for answers, as I said I`m quite a noob for CK ...

1. When you have enough of the territory that makes up the Kingdom of Jerusalem, you can create that title. To see how much you are missing (and which provinces), go to the screen where you can create titles and click on the relevant title. It will then show how much of it you have and you can see which provinces you need.

2. Creating the Kingdom title will give that to your ruler, so you will rule as the King of Jerusalem. If your current title is King of something else, then Jerusalem will be a secondary title. If you grant that title to a courtier or direct vassal they will become independent of you (kings cannot have king vassals).

3. Templars are created by event exactly like the Teutonic Knight. It will eventually fire, just be patient. All it requires is that certain provinces are in christian hands.

4. Vassals of different religion than the top liege will get events to convert to that religion. So again you just have to wait.

To clarify slightly, the Kingdom of Jerusalem (much like the various knights, and eg. Kingdom of Assassin (this might be a mod, though) and the Ottomans) may be created by event. If this happens, they'll be independent 1-province kingdoms (limitation of the game engine. They're also a bit buggy in that they may be vassalized under some conditions which aren't entirely clear to me).

If you gain enough territory, you can create the title "King of Jerusalem" yourself, in which case you get it added to your list of titles. If you're still a Duke (or Count) at the time, you become an independent King, and any vassals you had before will remain as your vassals.

4. As TempestDK said, wrong-religion vassals will eventually get events to convert them to your faith. Also, if they send their heirs to church education, when said heirs graduate, their religion is set to that of the highest-tier lord in the realm (=you, the King of Jerusalem), and they'll keep that religion when they inherit.

Remember, the event for vassal to change religion to highest tier liege can't happen if the vassal is zealous.
