Ok, I'm prussia in my newest game.

Somehow in 1525 I gain a conquistador and 3 settlers. I trade around and get maps of the new world which I then start a colony in Florida.

I also start exploring around. Eventually I send abou 20k troops with my conquistador to attack the incas who have not been annexed yet.

I beat them and gain 3 provinces before I try to sue for peace.

I've beaten them in more than 10 battles now.

I only ask 1 province and they have refused for 6 months now. This is starting to tick me off because I'm almost out of men and I need a foothold. Any suggestions?

It seems ridiculous to me that they have lost so badly and I only want one province and they won't give it to me.

Your definitly not a newbie, please post in the right forum next time.

For the question:

Do they have allies on their side ?
How many stars do you got (AI always accepts an offer 4 stars lower) ?

Also if nothing else helps, take their capital and you are shure to get at least 1 province

I have 4 or 5 stars.
Get 6 (ie take the capital) and your home free

They have no allies to my knowledge otherwise I would have been attacked by now.

Don't assume, make shure. Check in the archives.
