It is gone.

Experience is earned by the Unit, so it ceases to exist if said unit is gone.
That individual soldier my end up going to the Air Force or Navy, and require complete re training.

ok, feared that.

An option to merge Divisions would be nice then.

At some point in game, I always want to change my 200 w20 INF-Divisions to 100 w40...

...and therefore it would be great if you just could merge them.

There is a 'Consolidate Divisions' thing, never tried it, it is the merge icon next to the rr (strat movement) button.

You can. Sort of.

Make sure both 20w divisions are in the same army and the same exact location. Select both, convert to your 40w template, wait until the unit strength bar goes down, then immediately hit the "consolidate" button:

It's clunky and not entirely efficient, but it should save you some unit experience.

thx!

Works great for me!

so besides the manpower reducing effect on the set garrision-unit, MP-support is completly useless?
It also has some combat stats which can be useful when combined with Superior Firepower's Integrated supported, e.g. for marines. So just almost completely useless.

Yes, base war support is what you will always have, it will fluctuate with world tension war support.

Does a Fieldmarshall (if you use him as FM) benefits from his "Armor Officer"-trait if there are generals with Tank-Divisions under his command?

e.g. if "von Kluge" is FM and Guderian with 3 Tank-Divisions is general in this group?

Or does only generals benefit from the "Armor Officer"-trait ?

Will the AI typically accept requests like joining factions, research agreements and other such things triggered by national focuses? Specifically the ones for Romania: Cordon Sanitaire, demanding Western guarantees etc.

Typically yes but it depends a bit on how generous the content designer was for each specific event. Both of the focuses you mention have roughly a 3-in-4 chance of being successful. In some other instances improved relations or force comparisons etc. may be critical for success but there is neither rhyme nor reason to that.
