Since Sandmann's thread on the EU4 sub-forum is approaching a thousand pages now, I thought that a similar thread could be useful on this sub-forum aswell.

The idea: If you can't find the answer on the wiki and you think the question is simple enough to be answered in a few phrases then ask away.

When answering a question remember to quote the post you are answering to.

Before you ask your question remember to use that nifty "Search this thread only" feature.

And lastly if your question isn't answered then remember that nobody might know the answer, be patient.

And to get things started:
Does anybody know whether a leader can have more than a trait or not?

You mean more than ONE trait? If yes, then yeah, they can have 2-3 traits. They may got it from events iirc, I certainly got one or two such scientists.

Is planetary administration a building? I have a colony with 5 pops and I still have no idea how to get planetary administration on that planet.

You need to upgrade ship shelter to planetary administration (no tech is needed for it), it takes 350 minerals so maybe that's why upgrade button doesn't show up yet for you.

Important info: robots count to those necessary 5 pops, so you can speed up the process of colony growth by starting production of 1-2 as soon as colony appears.

Hi guys, simple question ( i hope), how do I get the stellaris forum avatars? I have the Galaxy edition on steam. Thanks in advance.

Not sure but I think you need to register your game on this site, I'll try to remind where it was done, at one place you simply paste your steam key to activate the paradox game and then you unlock stellaris avatars, small icons under your avatar indicating "you have this game" and few other options.

EDIT
Sorry but for the love of God I cannot remind where exactly did I activate my games steam keys on this site.

Is there something you need to press to request for something in return in trade deals?

What do you mean exactly? You simply propose your stuff (left side) for theirs (right side) with some empire personalities (xenophobe isolationists etc) simply not willing to give you some things. Then you click Confirm and wait few days for their response.

Unless that's a bug, then you should report it on bugs forum with savegame attached.

What does the Mineral bonus from the "Very Strong" species trait do? Is that an empire wide boost, a per planet boost, or does every single POP of that species produce 3 minerals? Or does it only boost production when they are on a tile that produces minerals?

It's a pop modifier, so it increases tile mineral yields if a pop with Very Strong is working it.

Anything early game to throw energy credits at? I haven't met any other species yet, so can't trade it. I am a bit low on minerals, so that's my limit on clearing tile blockers. Likewise for building anything to raise the maintenance. However, even at just +8 energy I am quickly approaching cap.

1- Does Stellaris have a legder like EU IV? If not, how do I compare my science or military with other civs?

In the Empires tab of the Contacts menu, select any empire and mouse over the relative strength indicator. The tooltip tells you who has more fleet strength, more technology, and more naval capacity.

This indicator and tooltip is also displayed when you open diplomacy with any empire.

I got into Paradox Games this year by buying EU IV and CK II. So far I'm engrossed by EU IV but have found CK II to be too repetitive and just not as interesting. Am I likely to have the same issue with Stellaris?

It's a decently different game, and interest is very subjective, so this is hard to say.

I would say if you like space 4x ( like Sins of a Solar Empire ) and/or games like Civilization, you would likely enjoy Stellaris.
