Raiding speed decrease

I decided to try to start a new campaign with the DLC as Temujin. I am surprised that nomads don't start out with any men at arms. I am also surprised that the raiding speed has been significantly nerfed. It use to only take 1 month or so to raid a poorly defended barony, but it takes 6-8 months to raid a nomadic holding. Is this nerf overkill?

I think I did both regular and pillage. And I don't think there was a difference in speed, but I would have to double check.

None of the nomads around Temujin have men at arms at the start. He has three slots available to purchase men at arms, but the only troops he has at game start are the horde riders.
 
Ok. I just double checked the default option is pillage. And the plunder option, which I thought was pillage, is taking the same amount of time a regular siege would take.

Yeah its weird. Also one of your council members can decrease raid times based on his martial skill, as well as several buildings and sub buildings decreasing raid speed, so thats where the balance comes from
