Random Crashes

This is getting kinda frustrating, during play I randomly the game randomly crashes to desktop. I've played on 4 different computers and on only one of those computers did not randomly crash, and on that on I had to replace the hard drive, and it began crashing again with the new hard drive, go figure... I don't hae the system specs on the other systems, but my current one is

EUII v1.07
WIN XP
P4 2.4Ghz
1 GB RAM
Radeon 9700 Allinwonderpro
Soundblaster Audigy platinum 2
Asus motherboard(can't remember model off the top on my head)

This is the only game I have that does it. I usually run europa at the fastest speed and at the highest resolution, might one of these cause a bug in the game?

Also I have already renamed the AVI folder.

Any help would be appreciated.

Good man!

First make sure you have updated your video and audio drivers. The fact that when you replaced your HD the game started to crash. Sort of implies that it is a driver issue. Your fresh install did not have one of the drivers the old install had added.

I have the same problem with random crashes. I've renamed my AVI folder and updated my drivers and it still happens.
I've also got a GC as Spain that always crashes in mid-September 1590.

Is it just this one game that has become corrupt or does this happen everytime you play a game?

I need full system specs please. Also include the publisher version, such as Strategy First, PanVision ... and the patch level you are using.

In most of my games, I'll get random crashes, but I'll reload the game and I can continue like normal.
My GC as Spain is the only game that always crashes at the same time. I'm not sure if that particular game is corrupt, or if It'd always crash in 1590. I haven't played any other GC's yet.

I'm running version 1.07 with the latest beta. Publisher version is Strategy First.
I have the same system specs as the thread starter Atalacus.

One cause of a corupted game is having a province listed as owned/controled by two different nations.
This can happen when a nation is annexed or inherited. Did anything like that happen in your game?

You may also be able to get passed the date that the game crashes by playing it as a different nation, then after you are passed the date it crashes on switch back to your nation.
