Now that there is a more involved method of becoming the Great Khan and limiting to only one per game, I'm really disappointed that there is no game rule to limit the creation of the Mongol Empire to if it happens naturally in game. You can, of course, turn off the Mongol Invasion but that disables achievements. Given the game's increasing mechanical depth, I'd much prefer to see historical events being recreated mechanically in-game rather than just happening in year X and the game generating the exact historical person involved. I have the same issue with the Seljuk invasion. It would make for a much more immersive experience for a nomadic ruler to organically become the Great Khan in game rather than just having Temujin Borjigin magically spawn. And I'd be fine with giving the occasional AI a boost to make it more likely that they will be able to become the Great Khan instead of forcing it to happen and, maybe, it never happens on the rare playthrough. And, again, same with the Seljuks. Give early nomadic rulers who convert Islam a special decision that gives them extra troops and an invasion CB so they can recreate the creation of a great Turko Islamic empire instead of the game just spawning a Seljuk ruler in year Y whatever.
