Once you guys conquer all of Westeros as one of the many kings that reside it in the 7996 scenario, how in the world do you guys expand into Essos or the Summer Islands as a Faith of the Seven follower? You are not allowed to marry into a completely different religion group. You can't invite different religion group claimants to your court or marry them to one of your courtiers. Forging claims is unreliable not to mention exhausting and the expand the realm by conquest ambition can only be used once per lifetime and that's if your current character is either ambitious, greedy or ruthless with a liege loyalist faction power of seventy five percent or higher which isn't always the case. So I wonder how is it that you guys expand beyond Westeros as a Faith of the Seven ruler without any dragons, or do you just start over once you have conquered it?

dragons are key.

I know they are useful but finding an egg and taming a dragon can prove to be an extremely difficult task if you are not a Targaryen or of Valyrian culture/religion that's why I want to know if there are any alternatives or strategies for a Faith of the Seven king with Andal culture to get claims for titles on Essos and so on. How do you guys do it? There are no holy wars in this mod as far as I know so that's not an option and I really can't think of any other strategies to conquer the rest of the world.

Dragon's really are the key to conquering the world; that's their thing. The main cornerstone of the Faith of the Seven is the knightly class, and a Knight requires a heavy horse which requires feeding and heavy armor that requires maintenance. Notably, all of those things don't keep well on extended sea voyages, and there's absolutely no reason, fluff-wise, for them to go across the sea, except to be mercenaries. If you want to conquer the world, play as a Ironborn, who have ships and are perfectly willing to conquer everything and everyone.

Well that's a shame, from where am standing I can see that the player's options are really limited when it comes to conquering land beyond Westeros if they are not either an Ironborn or dragon rider. At least in CK2 we had the holy war cb to deal with other religions groups since they wouldn't accept marriage proposals. When it comes to dragons however, I wonder if the chances of success are as low as I have heard if your character is not a Valyrian or Targaryen? Is getting an egg and taming a dragon as any other type of character really that difficult to do?

Dragonlore is more of a factor then character traits when it comes to non-valyrians hatching eggs or taming them. In truth, it mostly comes down to chance, but it's barely any better for non-exceptional valyrians.

I see. Well I haven't played a lot with dragons so I still have a few questions on how the whole dragon lore mechanic works. I know that once you get an egg, the more dragon lore you collect the more likely you are to hatch it and tame it. Let's say however that your first character, the one who originally collected the lore, hatched the egg and tamed the dragon died. Does his heir (now your current character) have to gather the dragon lore from scratch again before facing the dragon and trying to tame it once more in order to stand a higher chance?

In that case it would be much easier to just start out as an Ironborn and take it from there. The whole idea is to remain as a Faith of the Seven follower and conquer all the lands beyond Westeros. The Ironborn are great but they gain gold and prestige so fast by looting other lands that I can't help but feel they are a bit op, even at the start of the game. As a Faith of the Seven follower you have to be more resourceful in order to conquer Westeros and the lands beyond it. You have to plan alliances and inherit claims to press since you don't have an invasion cb. You must use more intrigue and plots to kill and manipulate people that get in the way of you doing that. You have a once in a lifetime invasion option that needless to say you must use very carefully. If you play your cards well as an Ironborn you can conquer all of Westeros with your first character and not have a single alliance or pressed claim to show for it, you don't need them.
