Our small group (five members) looking for more players. Even five is nice number for decent MP game but since we usually play two per country means we cover only Germany, SOV and UK. we would like to have more players to cover all major countries.
We play modified MEM mode (2.02 adjusted to 1.3 beta patch). It would be good to find players talking Serbo-Croatian for easier communication (time zone should match as well) but all others are welcome.
Main aim of MP for us is fun, not IC whoring and using of exploits. One of ways to avoid perfection in play is country sharing. You will never have same moves as your partner and cooperation can be sometime very funny. There's mistakes on all sides so all games so far were interesting.

installation is quite simple. once you download these files, you just copy them to your game folder, overwriting old files.
once you have all this thing installed, you should have game checksum XBBJ.

Short changelog:

MEMFT202d

1. Panzer units consume more supply and oil. Upgrading is longer.
2. More manpower for all via daily gain. (you can build more units but supply demand will increase dramatically)
3. No more militia. They are now Brigades (half strength of division). Every infantry model will bring new model of brigade.
4. Old brigades are now renamed to regiments. Stats reworked so they are more then useful now.
5. HQ are now divided per speed for different use (slowest for infantry stacks or level 3 for armor armies). You still can upgrade level 1 to next level.
6. Special units concept. Mountain and Marine units can attach elite regiment which will transform them in formidable force.
7. Several events added for majors
8. Nat. China will receive help from SOV and Allies in their fight against Japan.
9. UK will receive US help in Labrador, so convoying is required.
10. Interceptors stats improved but range reduced to cover only one area (for defense only).

Our group, we played shared countries before and it was always fun!
This MEM modification is somewhat different but it introduces some fresh ideas into HoI concept. It's not hard to master, but no mastering is needed for playing just for fun :D
 
Hi all, I am from Zagreb so naturally i speak Croatian:D.

I have limited MP experience(couple of 3-player LAN games).
I think I am pretty decent and with guidence I can be even better, so count me in.
 
You are welcome. For me it doesn't matter how you call it (serbian, croatian, bosnian...) it's important we can talk and write with it much faster then with this one.
Have you ever played MEM? I think it would be very beneficial for you to try few hours in SP with MEM mod (scenario 38 only) to get rough picture how it works.
If you have any further questions, go on, ask.

The code should be XBBJ! Is it typo error or you really get WBBJ?

Regarding time of play, well we play at the moment one game Friday night (20:00). So we can find another termin or if we collect enough players we can start new one at the same time.

And have you ever tried MEM? If not it would be good to try it before we start new game, or you can play with someone sharing country. The main change in MEM is battle mechanics. Since units have double organization comparing to vanilla fight last much longer. Some time you have enough time to put reserves into battle, pull out broken, wait until they recover and switch them with again.

Petkom mi je uredu u to vrijeme, ali samo do 23 maksimalno do ponoc(tada se vani ide).
 
pa, ja sam bas detaljno napisao sta sve i kojim redom treba da se instalira. znaci, moras da instaliras hoi2 sa doomsdayom, pa tek onda armagedon i da ga pachujesh na 1.3, pa tek onda ovo ostalo... lepo uninstalliraj sve, pa iz pocetka, korak po korak...

If you mean on house rules, then I would say we follow some general rules like, no use of exploits, no SR from front line, no Phoney wars and everything must be historical till "Danzig or war" event. But let say if you can play according to below one then it will be good.

1. Trade

1.2.1. USA and Allies may not trade with USSR until USSR is at war with an axis country
1.3.1. Players may only initiate trade deals with the USA at 99% - except for the Allies if USA at war with Axis. After lend lease, USA can trade at any rate
1.4. Trade agreements existing at the start of the scenario cannot be cancelled only if the two parties at war.
1.5. No resource trade (energy, metal, rare, oil, supply) deal allowed with any - neither human nor AI - country under „Negotiate trade” (offer negotiations window). If any of the countries is at war



2. Diplomacy

2.4. Couping of player controlled countries and their allies is forbidden.
2.5. Puppets cannot be released from their puppet status by their master nation
2.5.1 Puppets cannot be released through sue for peace.
2.6. If you have all of your enemy's VPs, making peace (e.g. annex, puppeting) is obligatory on the spot.
2.6.1. Human players may initiate separate peace offer only if the enemy takes all own VPs.
2.9. Military access cannot be asked between human players
2.10. Nat / Rep.SPA can only be DoWd after ’End of Spanish civil war - victory ’ event fired or after Danzig.
2.11. Military units may not be traded unless allied.
2.12. Within an alliance only alliance leader may be DoWd – excluding events.



3. Events
game will be saved a priori + affected player may ask for reload of prior save if ahistorical outcome

3.1. Sudetenland, Munich, End of Czechoslovakia, Memel, Vichy for GER.
3.2. FRA must accept Vichy if offered.
3.3. Vichy must accept JAP ’demands for Indochina’.
3.4. GER must offer historical pact in the 'Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact' while USSR must accept it.
3.5. ’Poland must be protected’ for UK


4. Country specifications

4. 1.2. GER must be at war with Allied before DoW on any other nation.
4.1.3. GER may not DOW or invite FIN into Axis before ’Winter War’ ends.
4.2.1. ITA is only allowed to DoW if Axis at war - except for the 'Annexation of Albania' event
4.2.1.1. BEL and HOL may not be DoWd by Italy.
4.2.2. ITA may leave Axis before ’Danzig or War’ event.
4.3.1. USA is allowed to join alliance / DoW if 1 of the following conditions is met:
4.3.1.1. any war entry event
4.3.1.2. Any American country is invaded or in alliance with any right-wing great power
4.3.1.4. 2 months after Japan has dowed allies and/or USSR
4.3.1.5. after 7 December 1941
4.3.2. USA may only station units (excluding ships) on her homeland while at peace – except for Hawaii islands.
4.4.1. USSR may not dow any country before danzig.



5. General

5.2. Units cannot be strat.redeployed from the frontline if enemy units are in any neighbouring province – except for GAR.
5.3. Great powers may station units only on their own territory while at peace.
5.4. A capital must be attacked / taken immediately after it is encircled.
5.6. Land units cannot be disbanded if encircled or if enemy units are in any neighbouring province.
5.7. Doctrine tech tree may not be abandoned.
5.8. No’ phoney war’ to reduce consumer goods demand.
5.9. Max. 48 divisions may garrison an urban capital – except for Warsaw (24 div limit).
5.12.a) PAR may be used together with land units only on encircled provinces or on 1 province islands (empty provinces are free to airborne mission).
5.12 b) You may not use the paradrop mission to kill off retreating units
5.13. Rockets may not be used for ’logistical strike’ mission for troops in the front.
5.15. From TPs it is not allowed to make division movements or to make amphibious assault. TP0 can transport units only from and to seaports.
5.16 You may only unload troops and carry out ampib attacks from the seazone where the beach icon is. (Where applicable, you may only attack a beach from one sea zone at a time)
 
Ha, it is easy. Just follow what is going on at this thread and when we agree on the play time we can start. If you want you can join us on Friday 20:00 in ongoing game (to see how it look like). At the moment we are in late 40 and human played countries are UK, Germany and SOV.
Since there are already eight of us we can plan new game. Any suggestions on time of play?

since most of you don't have 'net' play experience, plus, this is your first time playing our MEMFT mod, i suggest that we first start some kind of a 'test' game, where all of you will be introduced with our mod, where you can get the first 'feeling' of gameplay, and where we will explain to you everything that you need to know. then, you can join us with our already ongoing game, where you will see combat mechanics, and general type of playing. i suggest that we start our first 'true' game this weekend, say, saturday evening, maybe at 20h CET? but first, let's start our 'test' game tomorrow evening (April, 2nd), 20h CET. everyone ok with that?

i would like to emphasise that main goal of our playing is to have fun and good time, so we will not 'rape' game engine, use exploits and generally play in such way that will disbalance gameplay. we try to play by historical events, with some minor variations to add more options, i.e. Spain joining Axis and such (things that MIGHT happened historically), but not some unlogical things like Axis joining with Soviets etc.

looking forward to our first game!

usually, we play our sessions 2-3h, sometimes 4 hours, so i hope everyone can play that much...
