just thinking out-loud.
The current visual range (BaseSpotterDistance) is 300m which corresponds basically to short-range.
However it seems the maps are too small and if you do increase the visual range, you seem more likely to get numbered.
I'm considering scaling everything back say 75%
What is 300m will then be around 400m or mid-range (LL and AC10 territory)
Might even consider to scale back to 50% so 300 m is now 600 m (LRM and AC2 territory)
So which files will need to be reduced (scale back)
weapon ranges on weapon files obviously
movement files
any others?
Any downsides to scaling down?
Wonder what scale should TEST_MechScaleMultiplier in combatgameconstants be set then?
