There are blocks in place and they worked fine up until a few patches ago. It's now just a matter of figuring out exactly why they are broken.
I dont know if its hardcoded. But the AI needs too chill the fuck out with the Seduce Focus. Edmure Tully now has 24 bastards. This is getting ridiculous.
I was wondering whether this was happening for every one else too! Seriously I've played about four games so far and every time Edmure picks the seduce focus and goes nuts with bastards. It's actually kinda funny
I can only get about 30-40 years in, and save files get to be around 30MB uncompressed before the game goes crazy with CTDs. Even when you reload, instantly CTD off the save. CTDs have been getting worse and worse, and it is not my computer.

I have found deleting a heap of dead characters from the save game file every 20-30 years stops most of those problems.

That link is what I found when I was trying to fix it. It doesn't screw up inheritances (that I've had so far) but sometimes live characters will lose their dead parents making it had to find relatives.
sooooooo anyone experence around 20 years into Aegons conquest random Inheritances happen? like one month i all of a sudden lost half of westeros but gained half of Essos? Yi Ti all of a sudden owned the north and westerlands and the reach.... yeah this bug makes this unplayable. not sure what to do about this.
Was this is a save game from before 0.9.2 or a new game started in 0.9.2?
I mean, ones like Gendry or Mya Stone. I actually just played a game where someone (probably Stannis or Renly) murdered Joffrey and I legitmised Edric Storm as my heir to piss off Cersei, but I was wondering about the hidden bastards.
Same here. When I first installed it I played for a few hours and had great fun with it. Then it just started crashing after a few minutes of game play. I was picking different BETAs, deleted and re-installed the game, tried other stuff. Just keeps crashing. Its a shame because I just started to figure out how to actually play the game right.
My game's running smoothly, but will crash when saving. I can quicksave without a CTD, but the save doesn't show up anywhere within the game's files afterwards.
I can't select any counties or army. Like, when I started the game as Dany in Mereen, she started with an army, but I couldn't select them. Sorry for bad English, but how can I fix this problem? Thank you.
Weird. I ran Dany game yesterday and everything worked fine. Emancipated all republics and turned into Empress of Ghiscar.
But shouldn't you have started at Qarth? Then event based move either to Pentos or Astapor (where you get an event based army spawn to take Astapor, Yunkai and Meereen).
