Well, it wouldn't matter so much with something like the Hafsid (Tunisian) tag.........besides, I'm still wondering if just setting the nation's religion to Sunni or Shi'ite in the scenario document would work.:)

That can be easily done though. Though it didn't stop an Orthodox Byzantium.

I don't recall a specific mention of orthodox controlled provinces being exempt from the Holy Roman Empire, unlike Islamic controlled ones. Still, it's neat being an elector as Byzantium..........it's so, er, traditional!:)

Speaking of my scenario, by the way (rather an indirect link), after painstakingly putting things together from an earlier version, I discovered the insurmountable problem. Rather surprisingly, it can't seem to handle the transfer of Zeeland to the control of "Flandres" from Holland!:D

Que?

I redid everything, having junked several saved scenario versions where something upset it. Finally, I discovered that it doesn't mind using BRA as Magdeburg (you remember I began with united Prussia, only in the latest version the Prussian territories are now Teutonic) or NOR as Munster.

But it crashes to desktop while trying to load if you transfer Zeeland from Holland (HOL) to Flandres (ARG)...........

I don't get it any more than you do!:( :)

Although maybe I should find the original shipped GC and modify things from there (starting over), since the latest hands-off games have revealed some serious stability problems.
