For future reference, you could have done that in private :p Not sure it'd have changed much, but it might have gotten more pressure on this team.
No, I asked Cliges specifically about that since I was afraid that using you before all votes were in would convince people to approve. Since I had to play it publicly, I had to play it too soon last night or risk losing my chance while I was asleep.

EDIT: If that's the case PC the rules need to be rewritten to make that clear. How Cliges interpreted them was competently reason.

And MC was the last spy.

Does it? That doesn't make much sense. I've always allowed it to be preloaded in private. Sure, the rules say it must be announced before any action is taken, but that's easy to do when playing it face-to-face, less so here where you have to log on and see it before the leader does. In that sense it's a bit like conditional hunt orders in Werewolf "Once this team passes, I want to use my card before anyone does anything" - a simplifier for something that's hard on the forums but easier IRL.

Well, yes, you could wait for a more opportune and less suspicious point to use it, but the rules say unambiguously that use has to be stated openly. by the player.

And that's why it should be allowed to play it in private. Although it's true that the rules appear to state it should always be played in public - I only noticed that now - all that means is that we should rewrite the rules.

Called it

Sorry, k-59. I blew that one by approving aedan+Panzer, but I panicked once Ironhead decided to arbitrarily approve the early missions. Getting stuck as the last two in the leader order made it an uphill battle from the start, but I made some bad tactical errors.

Well I wasn't entirely sure, and often had internal doubts between MC and Ironhead, but glad I decided to stick with my gut and trust Tamius. And also rejecting the mission 2 team that had MC on it.

I was going to support that team if it went, then hope I could sabotage the next two. Didn't work out.

You people thought I was a Spy :(

It's only your late switch to approve that gave me doubt. I mean, it made sense from a Resistance POV but I also didn't see why a spy would approve that team before the game was basically over with K59's SL. (Not that I blame him, though, it really was the best thing he could do the rules being what they were - although I would personally have stuck around to try to sneak the SL after the update)

but I panicked once Ironhead decided to arbitrarily approve the early missions.

See? It works!

It's okay. I was a pretty horrible spy and should have played the SL earlier.

+1

It's important to make sure the card gets played at the right time, but that's up to the GM more than anyone else. The player should be able to preload just about anything he wants.
