Resolution problem with HoI2/generally

Hi all there! I hope you could help me with this one altough I know it´s a tough nut to crack.

I reinstalled my graphic drive routines and after some tweaking my windows screen looked good on my wide screen lcd tv (my one and only monitor for the computer).
But whenever I start up HoI2 the resolution is changed and it seems to go down to a (4:3) resolution. I´ve tried everything methinks but I can´t get a fix on it.

So any tips or solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated!

No solution ... HOI2 was designed for 1024 by 768 (4:3 ratio)

Do a google search for Lord Ederon.... and you will find his site about cracking the EXE to use widescreen resolutions.
