How can i enable retinues for GoT? Is there any seperate minimods that do this? or is it a simple fix if i do it myself? any help is appreciated, thank you

The mod itself is out of date but there's a fix for it on the second page our the last page that both male it will with the latest version, there both slightly different so it depend which one you prefer.
Also you may want to tweak the numbers of retunites, I added some to the base values of the castles as there's no tech to increase the value over time

Because if you didn't have the dlc they wouldn't be usable at all not even by the ai, also they don't make much sense in AGOT as there are no standing armies as such

AGOT is a completely fictional fantasy universe, if we decide that someone had a standing army in this universe it should be so, cannon be damned.
They could just be the household guard for the various houses and whatnot.

But the household guard is like 50 men, not really a standing army of a thousand or whatever more

because the iron throne would have so many retinue points that it would ROFLSTOMP every rebellion in history without being hindered by the war mechanics
Very small and elite retinues would fit in my opinion. Of course what sort of impact would a 20 - 200 men personal guard accomplish is another question. Most likely they'd be just flavor since this isn't Total War where a few regiments of elite troops can actually matter in battles with thousands of levies.
And very much this. It would probably be hard to balance the retinues in a way that all larger lords (at least Lords Paramount) would have about as much personal retinues as the Iron Throne.
