Hello, I'm new on this forum so hello, I'm Nikola, from Serbia, 20 yo.
I've got the game constantly crashing usually it's just while saving , autosave just crashes while manual save is kinda better but still unplayable, sometimes I can save once and sometimes it just crashes the first time I click save game, also for some reason if I uncheck the compress buttom it works somewhat better and crashes less. Quicksave just ignores me and doesn't save. Also tried the razor save file thing but if I open the game with razor booster it crashes as soon as the loading ends. Also the cloud thing I don't really know how it works so if somebody could explain me so I can try that, so far when I click save it just doesn't happen anything. I have the basic game with no dlcs 2.3 update with 0.9.1 version of the mod, I tried to downgrade it to 2.2.1 version with the 0.9 mod version and it just crashes at startup. Any ideas? Might that be just my hardware? It's quite bad but it should work also because I can play at the vanilla version with no problems at all.
4 gb ram
3.2 ghz Pentium (R) dualcore E5800
windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
amd radeon hd 5450

anyone.....? Anyway I found out that quicksave actually works as long as manual save is working, so if quicksave stops working I already know that whenever I decide to click on save game it will crash.

I get the same problem and I can find ZERO help on these forums - the search function is pathetic and there is no easily searchable database of known bugs.

Truly fantastic game, truly pathetic bug trapping and support.

So what do we do - just save less often or play a game bugged to near unplayability ?

This is mod made by volunteers, so I don't really appreciate the whining about lack of support.

OP: we know the mod to be fairly unstable atm, there have been many patchs and DLC in quick succession recently that has thrown everything a bit stability wise. I'm hoping we can make the next version will be more stable :)

My profuse apologies to knuckey and everyone else in the GOT mod - I was looking for a solution to my own problem with saves in the vanilla game via search for posts with title "crash"), found the OP's post and decided to add my own two cents. FTR I have never played the GOT mod but hear that its fantastic.

FWIW I still have endless crashes in vanilla, it seems that all I can do is disable autosave, manual save twice then expect the next save to crash.

I have not a single problem with the mod other than the save bug that makes the mod unplayable, my vanilla version works perfectly, and I tried everything, disabling autosave doesn't solve the problem because when autosave stops working at the same moment manual does too and next time I press save game the game it will just crash, quicksave stops working at the same moment but doesn't crash, just doesn't save anything.

So I found out what's the actual problem, since I have the 32 bit system the maximum RAM the system can give to a user application is 2GB and by going to command prompt you can change this to 3 GB which is enough to play the game smoothly with no save crash.

I have the same problem as above and it does seem to be something to do with the RAM available but my system is already set to allow a user application the max, is there anything else I can do? I'm thinking possibly I just don't have enough RAM on this laptop full stop?
