What about to do a Score Contest between us ? :) Depending of your Location & Game Rules & Sponsor & Mystery you can up the difficulty % but also don't forget that Fastest you reach a MileStone, more score it give too (it's not always easy to be fast with high difficulty %). It can up near 1100% max as far i saw, but i'll try near 500-600% 1st with Armageddon+WinterComing+SuffocatingWinds as Russia & Metatron Mystery (i didn't do it yet :D) but probably an easy map to start (to do the new Russia success, reach 500 people with 500%+ difficulty).
We can post pictures of milestones screen here :), i'll post one soon, if somes want one of the Hardest Map i found : 41N 111W.

PS : We can use some mods but of course don't use somes who allow to cheat (like some cheat menu , i saw it exist but i never used it's not fun), i will post a screen of my Save where we see Mods too.)

This is what i took :) i am at 600% challenge rating. With my mods too, no cheat but somes helper ^_^ it's difficult enough :D Metatron Mystery too.
I will try to reach 500 colonist for the new success ^_^ and let's see score

I only got "Surviving Mars" last week, so I consider myself still on the learning side.
But after some reiterations during that last week I now try to do a game run with a decent score that I also intend to finish at some time. Choose Europe as Sponsor, Politican as Commander Profile.
Mystery set to the first hard one, Marsgate if I recall correctly, and as for additional rules Tech Variety, Amateurs, Armageddon, Hunger and Long Ride.
The Map was chosen as 0°N 0°W, (looked for fairly flat terrain, enough concrete, but apart from that many meteors and few other ressources to ramp up the difficulty).
Final verdict: 520% difficulty

Being now at day 8, my first colonists have setteled in, I consider it an excellent start, I doubt I could have gotten it much better both concerning luck (finding anomalies and water, as well as a decent roll of starting techs) and my own management (even tough Long Ride is really harsh in the beginning).

However, since I don't think my score will hold up to yours I will probably not continue to post updates, yet maybe a final score when all milestones are reached. Might take some time though.
 
Oh yep it's not bad too :) But most dangerous things are the Dust Storms (make oxygene Tanks at differents place if you have Meteor with) & Frozen Wave (buildings who are not warmed will need x2 electricity, and x3 if you take Winter Is Coming) :).

Dust Storms real challenge is the increased maintenance damage everything takes while they are going and the fact that they ground your shuttles. More than a few times I had to go back to an autosave because there weren't enough machine parts near my wind farm.

Cold Waves are defeated with heaters and a bit more power generation than you usually would use.
 
So imagine with Armageddon & Dust Storms game rules when Meteor Storm come at same time as the 5 days Dust Storm :D And of course meteors on your base because Murphy Law is applied even on Mars ! :);)
