Hi,

Just got the game today and using a GF6800 with the Nvidia 84.21 drivers the game screen flickers. (If it is at all relevant I'm updated HoI 2 to the 1.3a version).

Every 30 seconds or so (sometimes longer sometimes faster) the screen goes black for about 0.1 seconds. Not long at all, but definately noticeable and often enough for it to become a nuisance.

Figured I'd post this as a bug report of sorts. It's definately not happening using any other applications.

Another small bug.

I am currently in battle in a mountain province, and the american (my side) leader Lt.General Cates just received the Mountain skill (Mountaineer). Shortly therafter, during the same battle, he received the skill "Has become: Unknown string wanted".

This skill shows up when I hover the mouse over the leader.

Have you tried Castellon standard advice?

1) Make sure you have the latest patch for the game.
2) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
3) Set the color depth to 16BIT
4) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
5) Run a Virus check and a Adware/Spybot checker
6) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-4.

For your second bug, send a bugreport to Paradox.

Flickering is caused by a conflict with something running in the background.
Most likely suspect lately has been Music Match.
Look under the process tab, look for anything with MM in it like MM.exe or MMdiag.exe

Ok. Enjoy the game flicker free:)
