I played CK2 finally for the first time yesterday. I tried to mess with the screen resolution but decided not to restart and revert back to the automatic resolution (I hope so at least. I play on a mac with retina display and some games have issues with adjusting the resolution correctly)
Today I wanted to relaunch the game after having installed Old Gods. Now the screen looked funny. It has the correct resolution but the whole screen looks like it had dropped halfway down from the frame. As a result I cannot access any menus and see if I can readjust the resolution. I have tried to restart the game and have also tried to restart steam, but the problem persists.

Edit: Deinstalling didn't help. Can't upload a screenshot apparently right now.

This is a problem in Catalina that has affected this game, plus some other unrelated games of ours. Until and unless Apple put out a fix, there really isn't much you can do except to juggle resolutions and display modes until it works acceptably on your hardware.

You can see some discussion of it in EU4 here:

Post #37 in that thread may help you.

Alternatives are you play under Bootcamp if you have that installed, as the problem does not occur under Windows. Or on any other Windows or Linux machine you have access to.

Good luck with that!
