On the Siege table in Huszics FAQ I read the following:
Modifiers:At least one D inside fortress
At least one A(-) inside fortress
What does this mean?

As it sais in the FAQ, the table is from the BG.
Troops in the BG could retreat into a friendly fortress to avoid a battle or after losing a field combat.

D = a detachment of troops
A(-) = an up to half strenght Army unit.
