In other news...

63 star systems explored.

So all of the Hazards should be online by now. Invaders included.

Hmmm...

We've hit our first genuine bug, and it's an odd one.

Loaded the game to play a session, and all of my Scientist class scouts (only!) had their orders cancelled.

All of them. And only that one ship class. Everybody else (Tugs, Troop Transports, etc) are all fine.

I had not made any modifications to the ship class... or even entered Space-Master Mode... during the previous session.

Weird. Anyway... on with the show!

If I recall correctly, these things are Geo- or Grav scouts.

Wait, no!

Haute-Rhin is their Diplomatic Ship!

They're sending out more Diplomats.

Awesome.

New theory:

Maybe somebody vandalized the Statue of Wagonlitz, and all the scientists went on strike again?

Yup. That must be the reason.

Poor concentration... only 10% to 20%... but if that ground survey succeeds in pulling a rabbit out of a hat, we're in the money.

Re-tooling for two of our Fortress modules is complete, and the Phalanxes clear the slips the same day... so we can lay down a second batch of Phalanxes and immediately start re-tooling THAT yard as well (we were just waiting for the slipways to clear).

Both Corundium and Gallicite are holding up very well.

Freaking 50,000 tons of Gallicite per year just in maintenance...

Hmmm...

The Modrons built a gate leading from the Neutral Zone into Harmony, but they haven't built the other side of the gate (the Harmony side).

They are returning to Mechanus instead. Maybe their PD escort needs shore leave or something.

What appears to be a squadron of Destroyers is headed for Harmony. Hopefully they are just curious.

That stack of Destroyers (?) has disappeared from thermal.

It hasn't transited to Harmony... we have so much RADAR coverage on the other side of that jump point that they're going to feel like a bug on a table when they do jump through.

My guess: they're sitting on the Neutral Zone side of the Harmony jump point, with their engines off (therefore no thermal signature).

Smart. Jump defenses just in case that neutral entity on the border is hostile after all.

What does the grave robbing technology bring you?

Edit: the autopsy one.
You get info on environmental tolerances.

Perhaps other info as well. Free tech? I don't know.

Seems marginally useful in that based on that info you can figure out if a planet is likely to have precursors or not.

But.. you can also just send a probe and know for sure ;)

Nearly all the ships in the Neutral Zone (facing the Modrons) have either left or gone stealth (like those four Destroyers).

Only the two Diplomats, ours and theirs, remain visible near the jump point.

A good sign?

The first appearance of the Modrons in Harmony.

They've parked right next to the Dread Fortress of Doom.
