Just got the game and I applied the beta right away. Maybe I'll reinstall and see how it is without it. Got the north american version.

I've had the same trouble, and it only occurs on the 'clean' version I applied the patch to. My normal, 1.04a directory gives me no trouble.

Yep, it's definitly the beta. Works fine on a clean install 104a.

Stick with the offiicial patch for now then.
You may want to report this in the bug forum though.
