so LAST time about conversions, pls:

I just want to be sure, that i understood everything right:
1. You can't convert anyone to your religion or culture if you are somebody's vassal. Even more- is it possible, that your ruler converts you??! or if you have 2 demesnes with different relligion and/or culture, independently from your ruler- you can convert it?
2. You can't convert anyone if You are at war or that source is at war and other bad things like pox, revolt etc.
3. And third i want to be sure- converting demesne has to have border with your capitals "main land" ... uff, i mean- if source is like island, not bordering with your realm straightly, so this will never become converted.. right?

You are mixing several things together, like f.e.

- You can't convert a character to a culture. Culture of a character is decided at birth

- Converting a province to your religion works differently from converting a character to your religion.

- Also there are several events that can convert a province or a character to your religion, while there is only one event that can convert a province to your realms culture.

So it is very hard to give straight answers to your questions.

1. If your liege has a different religion then you, then you can't convert people to your religion.

If your liege has a different religion then you, then you can't convert provinces to your religion.

If your liege has a different culture then you (regardless of his religion) then you can't convert provinces to your culture.

2. Cultural conversion can't happen when you are at war, religious conversion of a character or province can take place during war.

3. In order for province to convert their culture to that of your realm, they need to share a common border (either with the demesne or lland of a vassal) or there needs to exist a 'trade-route' between those provinces, check the FAQ-section for a map of the trade-routes (you can find it in the FAQ-thread that deals with cultural conversions)
