Using the start in the 800's, i was the Duke in southern carolingian empire along the med coast. I believe i started as the Duke of Barcelona. It is the Gellones dynasty.

1. the first strange thing is that my character started off as Catholic... which was an issue until i realized the fact and was able to convert. Not sure if there are other Catholics at the start?

2. I worked my way up to become holy roman emperor. Nearly impossible to stave off civil wars. Not sure if things are meant to be quite so difficult. seems to me like the opinion boni and maluses have yet to be balanced.

3. i'm currently over my vassal limit. I am not able to have "vassal kings". OK i guess i can live with that mechanic. However i AM able to have "Grand Dukes" which is a king level title. is that working as intended? i don't get why i can have a Grand Duke of Austria or Tuscany but not a King of Aquitaine. the inability to have vassal kings makes empire management extremely difficult. again, not sure if thats working as intended.

4. can someone link me to an overview of the new religious system with the pentarchs and all that? i dont get it. as holy roman emperor, i've vassalized rome and the pope. all of my subjects' religious head is the pope. Not sure why my religious head is the archbishop of Liege. i get it has something to do with my de jure empire borders, as my vassals outside those borders share my religious head. really negates the utility of having a vassalized pope when i can't excommunicate most of my vassals. Regardless, i'd like a more clear idea of how i can unite christianity.

5. has the genius trait been removed? i NEVER see it.

6. homosexuality seems a little rampant, but not as bad as vanilla (which seemed absolutely ridiculous).

I notice he's Catholic in the lobby (missed him, I guess), but he's certainly not when I start the game -- there's a startup maintenance event that converts any leftover Catholics/Orthodox characters like him. If that didn't happen in your game...well, I don't know why that would be. I'd have to ask if you have the correct checksum, but outside of a difference in your files I'm not sure why your version of the mod wouldn't work like mine.

It's not impossible, but it is indeed supposed to be hard, and get harder the bigger you get.

It's intended. And there's a 'Title Law' you'll be able to change in order to allow kingdom titles in general, though you need high CA for that.

Nope, not removed.

We reduced the frequency it's acquired in the childhood education events. Seems like the balance is fine now, but I know some people prefer to see less than others...I'd be willing to hear feedback from others on it.

thanks for the quick reply!

I'll have to check my checksum but i'm simply using the Steam auto-uploaded version.

really appreciate the awesome expansion you've made here. No comments on my religious based questions?
