Looking through the ‘combat’ file in the db folder, I came up with a number of questions:
1. How does ‘shock’ work in the combat sequence? Does it interact with ‘attack’ and ‘defence’ or does it get used in a separate phase of combat resolution?
2. The ‘size’ of all units is set to 100. If I changed the ‘size’ of knights to, say 20, would that mean that you now get only 1/5 the normal number of knights from your provinces? Or would it mean that 20 knights now perform as well as 100 did before I changed the file? Or would it mean both at the same time?
I’d also like to ask a couple of more general questions:
A. Is there any way to change how long sieges take?
B. Is there any way to change recruitment speed (i.e. how fast troops from a province replenish once they’re demobilised)?
C. What stats in the combat file (or any other file for that matter) should I change if I want battles to typically result in much higher casualties?
Thanks in advance,
loseth
