Question 1.

I'd like to know how to get the option to build churches in a province. Even when I've researched up to architecture II, and the province is either already Catholic or I've converted it, when I click in the province window there isn't any little green church shadow for me to click on?

Is there a minimum piety rating required or some other precondition?

Question 2.

Is there anything I can do to get the "revolt" icon in a province over with faster?

I'm currently playing Lubeck and trying to civilize and catholicize the Baltic and the event options sooner or later force me into acquiring this modifier in the conquered provinces, and it just kills the economy. Weird how it doesn't seem to happen in Spain....the Pomeranian/Prussians more attached to their religion?

Any suggestions or bits of wisdom would be appreciated.

Thank You.

1) You need a tile-factory first

2)
  • Makes sure all four groups have at least 10% power
  • Lower taxes so that the loyalty of the groups doesn't decrease
  • Have a court of justice
  • Don't mobilize the regiment of the province
  • Or if you want to be 'evil', pillage the province

Thank You.

Is that tile factory a prerequisite for salt refineries too? I can't seem to build them either.

Salt refinery isn't a building, it is just a 'tech' that gives you a bonus in the provinces that have it.

See also this useful tool (it is for CK 1.05, but it also applies for DV)
