The internal team here at Paradox have been working on a new game called Sengoku the last year..

Sengoku owes a lot to Rome in that they are both character driven games, set in a limited part of the world, with a set goal to achieve. In both games it is about uniting the world under your own rule.

Sengoku has a similar civil war mechanic as Rome, but a bit more in depth, as characters now have ambitions and will plot to gain their own way in the world. A clan can split into two, and fight out over who becomes the leader of the clan.

Well,

patching Rome is long overdue... Especially the cascading alliances.

Better late than never, I suppose.

Rgds, Oldtimer

Well, I have some days scheduled in october for Rome patching.

WOHOOO! Finally! :)

And i already had Sengoku on my list, will definately check it out when it's out (though maybe not immediately - still have enough games from the various summer sales that i haven't even touched... *sigh*).

So... with one of the internal teams freed up with the release of Sengoku, any chance for a Rome 2 (might be better to start all over than an actual expansion, really)? :D

Anyway, nice to hear about some resources being allocated for a patch, it is needed.

yay! Finally a developer in here.

Anyways, I am not interest in Sengoku's timeframe and hisrtorical setting.

Patiently awaiting for a Rome 2 (to cover Eurasia and tribes).

Aaw... I was after the same thing as Cheexta :D

I haven't been looking after Sengoku very much but it sounds interesting.

And nice to see Developers here, it's been again something like 5 months without anyone giving any official info about Rome..

I would love it if the end date was changed to the "defines" LUA file like the other games. Pretty Please.

I've been browsing the Sengoku forum for a couple of months now, and it definitely looks interesting (especially as a test bed for future Rome 2 mechanics ;)).
