Description​

I made my wife the regent before going from Norway to Constantinople for some University training. I also added many detours to visit most of europe kingdoms and sites to earn extra experience. The total trip length was 5 years.
My wife was made my soulmate since we got the grand wedding, I also checked the save file and all my children are mine (no cheating).
During the University trip I got at least 3 pregnancy and births from my ruler's wife while I was very far away.
I notice that all schemes like convert to witchcraft get frozen while I'm traveling, but same its not true for pregnancy.
The same applies if you are leading your army for many years or having a lover in a far away kingdom.
Now before the traveling system was implemented, it was ok to assume that both characters could meet from time to time. But now with activities and travel system implemented, your partners should only get pregnant from you if both are at the same location, either traveling with you, living with you or because they are visiting you as part of an activity, which looks like a bug to me.
Prevent you from have offspring (potential successors for your realm) while you are far away from your spouse/concubine/lover, should be part of the negative consequences having your ruler away from his court responsibilities, which may also increase the chances for you partner to cheat you if you leave them behind for so long.

Steps to reproduce​

Make your wife a lover or soulmate, make her your regent and go to a very extended travel like university or pilgrimage with many detours to visit the sites (5 or more years).
Your spouse will still get pregnant even that 2 characters are very far apart.
